Get Out of Your Head!
When you remain, stay or focus only in our head or mind you miss so much. Your head gives you logic and linear thinking. When it hears words that are negative, it believes they are true. Such as “I am ugly”. The same can be said about positive words. “I am beautiful”. Your head doesn’t have the ability to discern what is good or bad, or wrong or right, it just hears, and your body reacts accordingly. Logically 1+1=2, or does it equal 3? You decide that outcome.
Our human bodies are so much more than a head. It is important to utilize all parts of us. Our mind, our heart, our feelings, our soul. Being stuck in your head only gives you one perspective. There is so much more.
When you’re in your head you forget to pay attention to the messages in your body. Being in your head may contribute to experiencing anxiety. During those times, stop, take a few deep cleansing breaths, ask your heart “What do I need right now?” Listen and the answer will be heard. You will know in that moment exactly what your body needs and how to calm your mind. Believe that answer, embrace that answer and move forward with the answer. It is truth! Clarity will happen and your path ahead will become clear.
Use affirmations to change negative thoughts and beliefs you have about yourself. Decide right now what you want to hear instead. Change the thought of I feel crumby to I feel good, I am good enough, I am confident.
The power is within you. It’s not in your head or up there. Connect to it. It’s your soul’s purpose. You are the only one who can take your power and create differences. Differences in thought, in words and actions.
What you think, what you believe and what you say will come true for you. So, please stop when your thoughts are counterproductive, change them, say them, believe them and the outcome will be marvellous.
