In honour of my daughter and all healthcare professionals who put their lives at risk in the ICU to save the lives of others.

 

A Respiratory Therapist 

 

A baby was saved today because a Respiratory Therapist put in a double shift. 

A baby was saved today because a Respiratory Therapist who knew how to use specialized equipment put in a double shift.

A baby was saved today even though the pandemic took priority over essential training to save the lives of newborns.

A baby was saved today because a Respiratory Therapist gave up sleep to give parents a live child.

A baby was saved today because a Respiratory Therapist heard there was a need in ICU.

A baby was saved today because a Respiratory Therapist stepped up and said “I will help.”

A Respiratory Therapist watched tears run down people’s faces as the unbelieving became believers with their last breath.

A Respiratory Therapist became sick today because she is burnt out from helping those who denied helping themselves from becoming sick.
